Parties,
THE PARTY
The second night of Rolling Stone’s Future of Music SXSW Showcase was jam-packed. The showcase included up-and-coming talent featured in the second annual Future 25 list, highlighting the artists who Rolling Stone staff are most excited about the future of music in 2024 and beyond.
THE PEOPLE
The evening featured performances by Peso Pluma, Young Miko, Kevin Kaarl, J Noa and Pink Pablo. Passionate about Austin’s musical roots, Rolling Stone CEO Gus Wenner expressed the reasoning for choosing ATX: “Austin is one of the most special music cities in the world, and I think it’s only fitting that RS would have a big, meaningful, soulful event here that speaks to our mission.”
THE PINNACLE
It was the hottest ticket in town, with over 40,000 RSVPs for the night. The line, which started at 4 a.m., stretched several city blocks. One of the biggest highlights was when the crowd chanted Young Miko’s name as she turned the Moody Theater into an all-out dance party with hits like “Lisa,” “Bi,” and “Wiggy” from her upcoming debut album.
