Austin newcomer Kettle & Brine beckons with wares for the consummate host.
Hario Copper Pour Over Kettle ($175).
With its striking copper body, rustic wooden knob, and charming gooseneck spout, Hario’s sleek Copper Pour Over Kettle just might be the ultimate way to brew a pot of tea—and that’s exactly the aesthetic that Tarica Navarro is aiming for with each product in her carefully curated new kitchen and home store, Kettle & Brine.
“The idea was to create the perfect space for gathering and entertaining so that people feel like they are walking into my home and feel that sense of genuine hospitality,” offers Navarro, the owner and designer.
Navarro thoughtfully handpicks the merchandise, which is responsibly crafted. “We source goods from partners who work with global artisans who participate in community development and work-training programs to preserve their heritage and traditional methods and materials,” she explains.
The beehive-shaped Hario kettle stood out to Navarro for its iconic form: “a marriage between tradition and modern aesthetics done so well,” she says. 908 W. 12th St., 512-375-4239
