Beloved band Mt. Joy will be playing both weekends at ACL this year, with the first weekend taking place Oct. 6 through Oct. 8, and the second weekend from Oct. 13 through Oct. 15. The band will also be performing their headline show as part of the Official ACL Fest Nights in between ACL weekends on Tuesday, Oct. 10. The show will feature a two hour set from Mt. Joy and local favorite duo Wild Child, popular indie pop band from Austin.

The ACL Fest performance will take place at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park. An indie rock band that formed in 2016, Mt. Joy is originally from Philadelphia, PA, but has deep roots in Austin. The band instantly fell in love with ATX after performing at SXSW for the first time in 2017, where they played seven shows in three days, ultimately leading to their label signing. The band came back to SXSW last year in 2022, where they closed out the festival at Zilker Park with over 12,000 fans present.

Since 2016, Mt. Joy has had four #1 singles on AAA radio (Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay), achieved over half a billion streams worldwide with their three studio records, and performed over 400 shows. The band has played at various festivals, including ACL, Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, etc. Not to mention they’ve performed on “Late Night With Seth Meyers,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, “The Late Late Show with James Corden,” and more. Perhaps Jesus DOES drive an Astrovan… and maybe he’s in Austin to catch the shows? You certainly should be.
