How would you describe the new Miss Dior?
It’s such an experience—like being in a flower field and getting the wafts of the smell of roses on the wind. It’s like many layers of floral.
Does it evoke a first memory or a feeling for you?
I remember visiting the rose fields in Grasse when they were all in bloom. And it really is like that—because the wind smells like roses.
What does Miss Dior represent to you these days?
Miss Dior represents this kind of joy, exuberance, romance and freedom that I think all women and girls are seeking.
As an actress, has your interpretation of Miss Dior changed over the years with each campaign? Has it evolved?
I think my own growth has mirrored that evolution from trying to look and feel a certain way for other people—and then finding my own pleasure and how I want to look and feel for myself.
Who is the Miss Dior woman in the world today?
I think the Miss Dior woman is really someone who is full of curiosity and a love of life—and also individuality, really expressing herself and her own artistry.
What is your current beauty routine, and how does fragrance fit into your routine?
I have quite a simple routine, but fragrance is a big part of it. I really care how everything smells. It’s part of making my day joyful for myself. So I use Christophe Robin rose shampoo and conditioner, which just smell incredible, like roses. I use the Red Flower blood orange body wash, which also smells amazing. Then, I use the Keren Bartov face wash. And I love the Tata Harper moisturizer that also smells incredible—also very floral.
And how does Miss Dior inspire you?
In general, there’s so much female artistry that is celebrated in all aspects of Dior—from Maria Grazia [Chiuri]’s designs… to Delphine Arnault’s leadership… to all of the women artisans who work on the pieces… to the women who gather the flowers in the fields… to the women who do the embroidery for the dresses… to the women who work in the atelier. There are just so many layers of female artisanship and passion that go into every product.
What are you working on next?
Well, I have a series I did for Apple TV called Lady in the Lake, and it will come out very soon. And I’m really excited about that. Alma Har’el ran and directed all the episodes, and it’s with Moses Ingram, who is extraordinary. And then I’m about to start shooting a movie called Fountain of Youth, with Guy Ritchie directing, opposite John Krasinski.
