Home & Real Estate,
Layered with lush surroundings and sprawling views, this home, nestled within the heart of Pemberton Heights in Austin, showcases Christopher Sanders’ true love and appreciation for nature. In fact, the home’s initial design relied tremendously on the root zones of the live oak trees the beloved neighborhood is known for. Sanders weaved together earthy tones and natural materials, hoping to create a harmony between the indoor space and the great outdoors that abound.

“Work with your natural surroundings and accentuate the beauty of the native plants to elevate the outdoor space,” shares Sanders, founder and creative lead of his moniker design firm, Sanders Architecture (sanders-architecture.com). “We find it often more impactful when our man-made structure is within the bounds of the original vegetation—it appears as if the building is part of the landscape.” Sourcing the ultimate synergy between the interior space and the great outdoors, the final result for this Austin home is nothing short of bucolic bliss.
